"By the people"

Hopping mad about the Electoral College? or.. Like it just the way it is? Joseph Kerry examines Colorado's "Initiative 99" and explains why it should be rejected. Note that he encourages discussion of reforming the Electoral College system, but still reminds us of how it got here 200 years ago. The Founding Fathers had good reasons for setting it up this way (as Joseph Kerry explains) and many of those reasons are still valid today.

UPDATE: Ramesh Ponnuru has thoughts on this today also.
