Keeping tabs on the AP

Powerline has been updating about this AP situation I mentioned Saturday.

First: Kathryn Lopez contributes to the growing body of evidence. (The event took place in OHIO no less!!)
That post is also notable for this important warning from Hindrocket (which I bold to note its importance)
I think that until further notice, you should assume that every news article you see that is based on an AP dispatch--probably at least half of the content of most newspapers--should be considered unreliable.

Second: They found Tim Hays! You can email him here thays@ap.org.
And you can barrage the rest of the AP with concerns about their journalistic integrity:
Kelly Smith Tunney, director, Corporate Communications
Jack Stokes, Media Relations Manager
450 W. 33rd St.
New York, NY 10001
Email: info@ap.org
Phone: 212-621-1500
Fax: 212-621-1723

Third: Hindrocket emails Tim Hays using the information in the above point. He encourages us to do the same.

Fourth: Powerline reader hears from Seth Borenstein of Knight-Ridder who basically copied the AP story. Apparently Powerline has also contacted him but had no response. Little did Mr. Borenstein know that his letters to those without a blog could still be posted in a blog.

The power of the Web strikes again, though I suspect that bringing down the AP is too lofty of a goal. I could still hope for a coup or something right?
